Shrub Club Propagation Session

Wednesdays, 9-12pm, followed by lunch

Every week, our community of volunteers comes together at the nursery for our propagation sessions, and we’d love to see you there! Whether you’re an experienced green thumb or just starting out, there’s a role for everyone—potting up seedlings, sowing seeds, building, weeding, tending irrigation, or helping with general nursery tasks.

Shrub Club is a place to learn new skills, contribute to growing strong, healthy plants for our local landscape, and support biodiversity and ecosystem health. But it’s not just about work—it’s also about community. Share a laugh, enjoy great conversation, and stay for a delicious meal at the end of the session. Feel free to bring a plate to share and enjoy the meal with us.

Plant Walks

First Tuesday of the month (check our calendar for monthly locations)

Each month, we invite the community to join us on our plant walks—an opportunity to explore the Otways, collect seed by hand for our nursery, and learn about local flora and plant identification. We visit a different site each month, from rainforest and heathlands to coastal areas and waterways, with locations published in our weekly e-news and on our calendar.

Plant walks are a hands-on way to connect with nature, contribute to our local restoration efforts, and discover the incredible diversity of plants that make the Otways so special. Everyone is welcome!

Address: End of Piggery Lane (off 125 Montrose Ave, Apollo Bay).

Opening Hours: The nursery is open for plant sales 9am-1pm every Tuesday and Thursday, or by appointment.
